NBA 2K has evolved from just another hyped product in the world
2K23 MT of gaming. It's now a cultural moment that combines music, pop culture, fashion, sneakers, and, of obviously, basketball has taken the franchise to heights none other game has surpassed. In its latest version, NBA 2K23. the game made history after announcing J. Cole as the first rapper ever to appear on with the covers of NBA 2K with the Dreamer Edition. Although it's certainly a surprise that 2K revealed a cover such as this, especially at the end of the rollout, the trend of the game itself probably implied that this might happen some day. Even with that being said, this wasn't even 2K's idea, it was J. Cole's.

"I worked with our team to bring this idea to life , and it was extremely fitting to work with Ronnie 2K. When we released that tease, everybody believed that it was going turn out to be another basketball player...it allows us to be a part of fashion, culture, music where 2K is sitting at the table."
This J. Cole cover is one of four covers for the new edition of 2K with the others featuring Michael Jordan, Devin Booker, and a duo of Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi. NBA 2K23 discussion has been being discussed on social media recently, with NBA ratings dropping this week.
